Cold Weather Emergency Plan Activated by Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust

December 22, 2022 - (Miami, FL) – The Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust announced this morning it is activating its Cold Weather Emergency Plan which allows contracted shelters to provide expanded bed services during the cold snap for unsheltered individuals. The Cold Weather Emergency Plan is activated in this community when temperatures are expected to be below 50 degrees and current forecasts from the National Weather Service indicate the temperature will fall to the low to upper 40s starting Friday night. Outreach teams will be out today through Monday connecting with those who may want protection from the elements
